CRSP - Canadian Restructured School Plan

funded by HRDC

The Canadian Restructured School Plan (CRSP) is a project developed and administered by the Canadian Vocational Association and funded by Human Resources Development Canada. Its goal is to explore a different way of organizing learning in secondary schools, using principles of outcome-based education, mastery learning, individualized approaches and flexible structures.

This project was developed over a number of phases.

PHASE III: The Learner Guide Project, which resulted in a number of finished products, including the Model Learner Guides.

Context of Canadian Curriculum Development and Implications for the Learning Outcomes Project (October 1995): The Learning Outcomes Project (LOP) is the first major stage of the Canadian Restructured School Plan (CRSP). The major purposes of the LOP are to provide assistance to a small number of selected secondary schools in identifying student learning outcomes and preparing learner guides and assessment materials appropriate to these outcomes.
